First, you place the device in the pot of your chosen plant. Then, simply connect your phone to the Smarty Plants app and add the plant to your profile. You will then be able to get top-notch information about that particular plant and advice tailored to its specific needs.

Not only do you get information about how much water your plant needs, but you also get updates on how much light it needs, what temperature it prefers, how much humidity it thrives in, and how rich the soil is. What a game changer.
